As part of our HCN Bridge Program, on August 14, 2024, in collaboration with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), our team of 11 visited Paoli, Indiana

Overview

The goal of this workshop was to connect directly with local business owners, understand their unique challenges, and demonstrate how our technical expertise, particularly in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation, could optimize their operations and drive sustainable growth.

Throughout the visit, we engaged in one-on-one discussions with nine diverse entrepreneurs, from a travel agency seeking to expand its online reach to music artists interested in digital ticketing solutions and business owners exploring innovative marketing strategies. This engagement reaffirmed our commitment to providing tailored, tech-driven solutions to empower these businesses.

Opening Presentation 

Introduced the HCN Bridge Program’s mission and partnership with SBDC. Explained how AI and technology could support local business owners, enhancing their operational efficiency and growth. 


One-on-One Interactions 

Divided into small teams to meet individually with each business owner. Discussed each business’s specific challenges and explored AI and tech solutions to streamline their processes. Identified areas for potential collaboration, focusing on providing ongoing technical support. 


Client Engagement 

Shared insights into how our expertise in AI could contribute to long-term business success. Offered guidance on integrating advanced technology to meet their unique needs and goals. 


Closing and Next Steps 

Invited business owners to provide feedback and consider further engagement. Outlined follow-up steps for those interested in collaborating with HCN to implement the proposed solutions.

Outcome

Our Paoli visit was a resounding success, marked by insightful conversations and mutual knowledge exchange. The HCN team was deeply inspired by the opportunity to apply our technical skills, especially in AI, to help real-world businesses overcome challenges and achieve growth. Our members found the one-on-one format particularly effective in understanding and addressing each client’s unique needs, resulting in actionable advice and relevant tech recommendations.

Business owners expressed great enthusiasm, valuing the practical, accessible explanations of technology and AI applications. Many participants completed onboarding forms on-site, demonstrating their interest in continuing collaboration with HCN to leverage technology for business growth.

The tools and strategies suggested were seen as highly valuable and relevant to their businesses. 


Overall, clients left feeling empowered, equipped with practical tools to enhance their business operations, and eager to explore the possibility of future collaboration with HCN.
